Wilsonart is seeking a Specification Representative to drive commercial growth by securing and converting specifications across Wilsonart products. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to architects, designers and facility planners within the Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Westchester and Staten Island territory.

You will develop strategic relationships, provide product and application guidance, track opportunities in CRM, and deliver training to design firms and influencers while representing Wilsonart at

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing/business administration or closely related field.
• One year field selling experience in the commercial design community preferred.
• Experience with marketing, sales, and specification principles.

This role serves as a trusted advisor to the commercial design community, influencing material selection and ensuring Wilsonart solutions are seamlessly implemented from concept through completion. Success is measured by Wilsonart specification adoption, project conversion, and sustained market share growth.This position will cover the following Territory: Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Westchester and Staten Island.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain strategic relationships with architects, designers, specification writers, facility planners within the assigned territory.Drive specification adoption and ensure conversion through close collaboration with sales, distribution, and fabrication partners.Provide expert product, design, and application guidance tailored to project requirements.Track project opportunities and specification-to-sale conversion using Wilsonart’s CRM system.Execute hands-on merchandising, display placement, and updates to maintain brand consistency.Represent Wilsonart at industry associations and professional events.Deliver professional presentations and product training to design firms and influencers.Provide feedback to internal customers regarding the surface needs of the design community.Effectively use Wilsonart’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool. Documentation includes account data, sales call itineraries and activity, merchandise placement, and project opportunity tracking.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of the complete product line and its marketing performance.Experience with marketing, sales, and specification principles.Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards.Ability to communicate well in oral and written formats with all levels of our organization and our customers.Ability to sell products and concepts.Ability to manage multiple priorities.Ability to travel.Ability to make professional public presentations.Must maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.Effective time management skills and a strong work ethic are a must.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in marketing/business administration or a closely related field. One additional year of experience may substitute for one year of required education with a maximum substitution of four years.One year’s field selling experience, preferably in the commercial design community.WORKING CONDITIONSPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20-50lbs)ENVIRONMENT:Located in a comfortable indoor area. Examples: executive, management and support positionsCOMPENSATION:The compensation range for this role reflects the total compensation opportunity, which may include base salary and other forms of incentive or variable compensation, as applicable to the role. The range takes into account a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Wilsonart, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.A reasonable estimate of the current total compensation range is $90,000 - $120,000, inclusive of base salary and applicable incentive or other variable compensation.We’re looking for people who are ready to learn, ready to lead and ready to make a difference.
