Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the IV Team/Vascular Access Service at Baystate Medical Center. You will provide specialized vascular access care across inpatient settings, collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, and bedside teams to support safe and timely infusion therapy.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license required.
• One year of RN experience required.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and determine vascular access needs.
• Insert and maintain peripheral IV lines and other access devices.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and bedside teams to support care.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and intervene.
• Educate patients and families on vascular access therapies.
• Document assessments, procedures, interventions, and outcomes.
• Promote patient safety and infection prevention standards.
• Participate in quality improvement and professional development.
• Hours: 36 hours; 12-hour shifts.
• Schedule: 7A-7P
• On-Call: None
• Rotating holidays as required by department.
