Qualifications

• 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in a Critical Care, DOU or SDU setting, or approved equivalent within prior 12 months.
• Registered Nurse License (California).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Arrhythmia course required.
• Ventilator training required.

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs others through the change process and delegates tasks appropriately.
• Demonstrates professional behavior and escalates issues as needed.
• Develops and contributes to the individualized plan of care reflecting assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating outcomes.
• Ensures discharge planning is complete with patient/family education and barrier assessment.
• Maintains accurate charting and uses computer systems effectively for patient care.
• Discusses patient findings with physicians and team members to monitor progress toward outcomes.
• Adheres to attendance and teamwork expectations; participates in mandatory meetings and professional development.
