Job summary

Health First in Florida seeks a qualified Specialty Sonographer to perform cardiology, breast, obstetrics/gynecology, or vascular sonograms. The role emphasizes Quality/No Harm, patient care, and regulatory compliance within a hospital environment.

The ideal candidate is ARRT/ARDMS/CCI registered, with radiology or sonography training and flexibility for evening/weekend shifts. Per diem scheduling supports patient access and clinical workflow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiology Technology, or Sonography, or Cardiovascular program.
• Must be registered by ARRT, ARDMS, or CCI.
• Must hold or obtain within 2 years RCCS/RCES/RCIS/RC S/ RDCS/ RDMS etc.
• Bachelor or high level certification may be required by position.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification for every procedure.
• Complete documentation including history, consent, MAR, and safety records.
• Review exam orders and ensure accurate charges.
• Perform scans per protocol and comply with regulations and Joint Commission standards.
• Position patients correctly and maintain infection control.
• Identify and handle medications within scope.
