Job summary

Health First is seeking a Specialty Sonographer to deliver high-quality patient care across cardiology, breast, OB/GYN, and vascular specialties. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to regulatory standards.

The position requires ARRT/ARDMS/CCI eligibility or active certification, BLS, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Full-time schedule with 8:00am–5:00pm shifts and potential travel within facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiology Technology, or Sonography, or Cardiovascular program.
• Must be ARRT/ARDMS/CCI registered, or eligible within two years of eligibility.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Excellent communication in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity using two forms of ID for every exam.
• Complete patient history, pregnancy, consent, MAR, and PACS documentation.
• Ensure accurate charges for procedures and supplies.
• Review exam orders before performing an exam.
• Perform procedures following quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Position patients correctly and maintain aseptic technique.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report malfunctions promptly.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and disinfected.
