Job summary

Hollywood Casino Joliet is seeking a hospitality associate to deliver a high level of guest service in a fast-paced dining environment. You will describe menu items, take and deliver food and beverage orders, and ring items into the POS system.

You must maintain a professional appearance, be able to carry trays up to 30 pounds, and be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Minimum two years of table service experience and the ability to read, write, and speak English are required;

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a high school education with 2 years minimum table service experience.
• Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Must understand and speak English fluently.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

Equivalent to a high school education with 2 years minimum table service experience in a fine dining setting is preferred. Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages. Must understand and speak the English language

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other cast members of the organization. Must be able to read, write, and speak English and have good verbal and written communication skills.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
