Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Specialty ROCC Coder III in Irvine, California. This role involves abstracting and coding IR/Vascular and Radiation Oncology accounts while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of hospital coding experience, a relevant AHIMA-approved certificate, and strong communication skills. Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of acute hospital coding experience.
• Credentialed as ROCC, CCS, CCS‑P, CPC, or CPC‑H.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the health system.

Responsibilities

• Abstract and code IR/Vascular and Radiation Oncology accounts using ICD‑10 CM and CPT.
• Identify and resolve coding queries with physicians.
• Prepare and compile daily, weekly and monthly production reports.

Skills

Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes and medical terminology

Proficiency in ICD‑10, CPT and HCPCS coding

Strong customer service skills

Ability to work independently

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Education

Completion of a twelve‑month AHIMA approved coding certificate program
