Job summary

This role involves abstracting and coding for IR/Vascular or Radiation Oncology accounts, requiring coding expertise with ICD-10 and CPT systems. Candidates must possess an AHIMA approved coding certificate and have at least two years of coding experience in an acute hospital setting. Qualifications

• Minimum two years of acute hospital coding experience.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes and medical terminology.
• Credentialed as ROCC, CCS, CCS-P, CPC or CPC-H.

Responsibilities

• Perform abstracting and coding using ICD-10 CM and CPT.
• Communicate with physicians to clarify diagnoses and procedures.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports.
