Qualifications
Minimum two years of acute hospital coding experience.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes and medical terminology.
Credentialed as ROCC, CCS, CCS-P, CPC or CPC-H.
Responsibilities
Perform abstracting and coding using ICD-10 CM and CPT.
Communicate with physicians to clarify diagnoses and procedures.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports.
