Job summary
Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Specialty Medication Pharmacist in processing specialty orders and assisting patients with benefit verification and reimbursement issues. The role requires IL licensure and preferably a Pharmacy Technician Training Program completion.
Under pharmacist supervision, you will verify benefits, follow up with patients, and keep providers informed about prescription processing while contributing to a strong
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Pharmacy Tech certification preferred.
- 1–2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
- Current IL licensure as Pharmacy Tech required.
- CPhT or ExCPT certification required for technicians licensed after 2007.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Specialty Medication Pharmacist with processing new and refill specialty orders under supervision.
- Verify and re-verify pharmacy benefits; assist patients with reimbursement issues.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the specialty pharmacy and providers about prescription processing.
