Loyola Medicine Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for day shift. You will support the Specialty Medication Pharmacist by processing specialty orders, verifying benefits, and assisting patients with reimbursement issues.

Under supervision, you will communicate with providers, monitor prescription processing, and contribute to a patient-centered care environment at Loyola Medicine in the Chicago area. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program preferred.
• 1–2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Current IL licensure as a Pharmacy Tech required for all technicians licensed after 2007.

Responsibilities

• Assist Specialty Medication Pharmacist with processing new and refill specialty orders, verify and re-verify benefits, assist patients with reimbursement issues, and maintain follow-up with the specialty pharmacy.
