Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to support pharmacists and patients within a fast-growing specialty pharmacy. You will process prescriptions, assist with adherence, and help with insurance issues while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration in the state of employment.
• National CPhT certification (or equivalent).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Preferred 5+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Additional state-specific certifications must be obtained if required.
• Continued employment contingent on meeting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process and enter prescriptions accurately, clarifying orders with pharmacists and clinicians when needed.
• Label, fill, prepare, and coordinate delivery of prescriptions, including special storage or handling.
• Support patients through inbound and outbound communication, adherence follow-ups, refill coordination, and education.
• Investigate and resolve insurance-related issues and assist patients with financial assistance programs.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, order and receive medications, and assemble necessary supplies.
• Manage data, adjudicate test claims, maintain records, and support follow-up activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement while ensuring quality, service, confidentiality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, clinicians, patients, and internal stakeholders to support patient care.
