Job summary

Qualifications

• Current certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR valid ExCPT certification provided by the National Health Career Association
• Current licensure with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy
• By virtue of societal trust and security explicitly imparted to pharmacies for the control of drugs, candidate/incumbent must have a clean criminal record

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, recording, and transporting medications for all patient age groups
• Perform tasks designated by the pharmacist to support patient care and operations
• Communicate effectively with staff and other health care practitioners in a multidisciplinary environment
