VCU Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists with patient-centered care. Responsibilities include preparation, dispensing, record-keeping and transporting medications across age groups under supervision.

Required certifications (PTCB or ExCPT) and Virginia licensure, plus a clean record. Education includes a high school diploma; preferred one year of pharmacy experience and basic typing speed, with availability for all shifts and emergency coverage.

Qualifications

• One year of pharmacy practice experience preferred.
• Typing speed 20–30 words per minute.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist the pharmacist in preparing, dispensing, and transporting medications under supervision.
• Communicate effectively with staff and other health care practitioners.
• Identify equipment or operational problems and report to a pharmacist or pharmacy manager.
• Interact with a multidisciplinary health care team to support patient care.
• Be available to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage.
