Job summary

Regional One Health is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Technician for our Bartlett Specialty Pharmacy. The role requires national certification (PTCB or NHA) and a TN Pharmacy Tech License to qualify, with additional work at Midtown infusion possible.

Hours are 8 am–6 pm, with the possibility of Saturdays and holidays to ensure continuous pharmacy coverage. The technician will support pharmacists, prepare unit dose medications, and assist with inventory, documentation, and patient communication.

Qualifications

Must have National Certification such as PTCB or NHA and TN Pharmacy Tech License.

Responsibilities

Assists registered pharmacist with supported activities in dispensing specialty medications.
Prepares unit dose medications and fills unit dose carts.
Calculates, weighs and compounds ingredients for non-sterile products.
Prepares, labels and documents IV products.
Uses aseptic techniques and laminar flow hood for sterile preparations.
Packages, labels and documents dosage forms and medications.
Delivers patient medication orders to units and files records.
Maintains prescription records and patient medication profiles.
Performs order entry and uses computer systems for charges and documentation.
Interacts with patients, payors and healthcare providers to support care.
