Job summary

HealthPoint is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Renton, WA. You will obtain referrals and clinical notes, complete prior authorizations, ensure proper documentation in EMR and dispensing software, and dispense specialty medications under the direct supervision of a Specialty Clinical Pharmacist.

Your role involves communicating with medical staff and patients, coordinating shipments, and applying patient assistance programs to improve access.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification from accredited program.
• 3–5 years related experience preferred; or equivalent education/experience.
• Bi-lingual is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with federal, state, and agency regulatory standards for specialty pharmacy.
• Dispense medications under supervision; data entry, insurance input, billing, labeling, and packaging.
• Process third-party insurance claims and prior authorizations.
• Utilize patient assistance programs to improve access to medications.
• Answer and triage calls from patients and medical staff; refer complex questions to Pharmacist.
• Coordinate medication shipments and deliveries with internal and external vendors; ensure cold-chain compliance.
