Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a hybrid role in Wisconsin. You will assist licensed pharmacists, perform technical duties, handle medication preparation, labeling, and distribution, and support insurance verification and billing in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED plus CPhT or ExCPT certification within 18 months. Expect 40 hours per week, M-F with some Saturday hours, and a strong emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience with third-party billing and insurance verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist with technical duties related to medication preparation and distribution.
• Select, prepare, and label medications for patients, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Support medication distribution, inventory control, andOutdate checks.
• Screen calls and route using proper etiquette; handle daily pharmacy procurement.
• Document controlled substances handling and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
