Corewell Health's Southfield location is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician with responsibilities in the specialty unit, including sterile compounding and data collection to support quality assurance. The role requires compliance with Michigan licensure rules and a demonstrated foundation in pharmaceutical procedures.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, experience in sterile compounding (or ASHP-accredited training), and relevant state licenses.

Southfield Specialty Pharmacy - Full time, rotating day shift

About the Unit

Provides Pharmaceutical Care according to professional and departmental standards and statutory requirements.

Scope of Work

Under moderate direction and supervision, operate in designated areas or job functions within the site location. Functions relatively independently and has some decision-making responsibility. May interact with other departments and/or businesses outside of the pharmacy department. Enhanced knowledge/training of area assigned above and beyond a pharmacy technician. Participates in training of employees in the area of specialty.

Operates in a designated area of specialty or assigned responsibilities above and beyond technician duties. Assumes ownership and ensures quality and completeness of work assigned. Responsible for data collection and/or reporting related to assigned area/project. Serves as a role model and leader in the department. Escalates any concerns that are identified in their area of work through chain of command.

Qualifications

Required A level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a general high school diploma program or GED.

Experience with sterile compounding and/or 6 months technician experience and/or graduate of an ASHP accredited technician training program. Preferred
