Job summary

UofL Health is expanding into Specialty Pharmacy at UofL Hospital in Louisville, KY. The Clinical Support Pharmacy Technician assists with all phases of pharmacy services and serves as a liaison to the Specialty Pharmacy team.

This role supports implementation of clinical programs, manages specialty products, and performs dispensing tasks while ensuring compliance and accuracy in patient care. Strong communication, data-entry accuracy, and collaboration with pharmacists are essential to succeed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Pharmacy technician registration preferred.
• 2+ years of pharmacy experience, Specialty Pharmacy preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred; strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and compliance.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with dispensing and clinical tasks in specialty pharmacy.
• Enter and verify medication orders in pharmacy IT systems.
• Coordinate with medication access coordinators on authorizations and patient billing.
• Provide patient and staff education on specialty medications.
