UF Health in Gainesville, FL seeks an OP L2 Pharmacy Technician to support prior authorization for specialty, high-cost, and complex drug therapies. You will collaborate with pharmacists, providers, clinic staff, payers, and patients to submit requests accurately and on time, minimizing delays and ensuring continuity of care for UF Health Patients.

The role requires Florida Board registration as a Pharmacy Technician, and L2 certification (CPhT or XCPT) within 6 months of hire, with experience

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Florida Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• L2 technicians must have CPhT or XCPT certification within 6 months of hire.
• 12 months of Shands Pharmacy Technician experience or equivalent.
• 2 years hospital/institutional or retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage prior authorization (PA) process for specialty, high-cost, and complex drug therapies.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, providers, clinic staff, payers, and patients to submit PA requests.
• Ensure timely, accurate submission of authorization requests to minimize treatment delays.
• Support continuity of care for UF Health patients.
