Job summary

UF Health is seeking an Outpatient Level 2 Pharmacy Technician – Prior Authorizations to support our medication access efforts. The role reviews insurance requirements, submits and tracks prior authorization requests, and communicates with providers and payors to ensure timely access to medications for patients.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in outpatient or prior authorization environments.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Florida Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• L2 technicians must have CPhT or XCPT certification within 6 months of hire.
• Must meet all requirements of Pharmacy Technician Level 1 and have related competencies.

Responsibilities

• Review insurance requirements for prior authorizations.
• Submit and track prior authorization requests.
• Communicate with providers and payors.
• Help ensure timely access to medications for patients.
