Job summary

Qualifications
- California Licensed Pharmacy Technician as required for the position.
- Licensure/certification required for consideration.
- Two years of experience as a licensed Pharmacy Technician in outpatient settings.
- Experience with prescription typing in a pharmacy processing system.
- Experience resolving prescription adjudication rejections with insurers.
- Experience with chart review and health insurance processes.
- Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and drug names.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and third‑party billing.
Responsibilities
- Process prior authorizations and patient assistance programs.
- Gather information to complete patient history and inform Pharmacist recommendations.
- Communicate authorization requests to relevant parties.
- Maintain activity databases to document workload and impact on outcomes.
- Support pharmacy operations within the Specialty Pharmacy program.
- Adhere to department policies and regulatory requirements.
