Froedtert Health in Menomonee Falls, WI is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Coordinator to ensure optimal reimbursement for high-cost meds and oversee the medication-use process in ambulatory areas such as infusion clinics and the cancer center.
The pharmacist will coordinate patient enrollment in assistance programs, secure medications from these programs if stock is unavailable, and uphold quality and safety standards in line with Joint Commission standards.

The Specialty Pharmacy Coordinator is responsible for completing necessary functions to ensure optimal reimbursement for high cost medications and overseeing the medication use process for medications administered in designated ambulatory areas, which may include, but are not limited to the infusion clinic and clinical cancer center. The pharmacist will work with referring clinics to verify and document the patient's enrollment in a patient assistance program. The pharmacist will work with the clinic's representative to obtain medication for the patient's treatment from the patient assistance program if stock is not present. In conjunction with Froedtert's mission focusing on customer service, confidentiality, education, and world class excellence; the pharmacist assures that patient care is maintained through compliance with the department's quality improvement plan and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards for pharmaceutical services. The individual in this position will report directly to an Assistant Director of Clinical Pharmacy and will have responsibility for no direct reports.
A minimum of one year of hospital or three years of other pharmacy experience is preferred. Active membership in the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) is preferred. Active membership in American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and/or other national Pharmacy organizations, as approved by Pharmacy Administration is preferred.
Bachelor's or Pharm. D. degree from an ACPE certified school of pharmacy is required. Successful completion of ASHP Pharmacy Practice or specialty residency is preferred.
Active Wisconsin pharmacist license (or eligible for) is required.
