Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to serve as the primary contact for specialty pharmacy patients in an outpatient clinic setting. You will assess patient needs, assist with refills, coordinate medication delivery, and help resolve insurance and copay issues.

Responsibilities include monitoring adherence and collaborating with clinicians and clinic staff to ensure smooth care transitions.

Qualifications

• LICENSURE: Registered Pharmacy Technician with State of employment; nationally certified as a CPhT preferred but not required.
• EXPERIENCE: 2–5 years required, 5–8 years preferred as a Pharmacy Technician.
• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED.
• SKILLS: Strong interpersonal communication, independent work, organizational ability, and proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for specialty pharmacy patients; assess needs and provide refill support.
• Coordinate drug delivery and address insurance/copay challenges; monitor adherence.
• Collaborate with clinical pharmacist, prescriber, and clinic staff to resolve issues promptly.
