Job summary

UK St. Claire in Morehead, KY is seeking a pharmacist to deliver specialty pharmacy services and oversee medication access, safety, and patient counseling across ambulatory and infusion services.

You will coordinate prescription processing, support immunization and diagnostic programs, and collaborate with providers, insurers, and clinical teams to optimize patient care and regulatory compliance. A PharmD or ACPE-accredited degree is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or PharmD from an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy.
• Experience in pharmacy operations preferred, familiarity with TJC, USP 797/795/800 and federal/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains clinical pathways for specialty therapy initiation and monitoring.
• Oversees access to care services including benefits investigation and prior authorization.
• Acts as liaison between providers and health insurers to optimize therapy access.
• Dispenses specialty medications with proper communication, labeling, and cold chain handling.
• Educates patients, providers, and staff on specialty therapy requirements.
