Job description

Become a part of our caring community The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 supports Pharmacists and patients through triaging of inbound phone calls for Specialty Rx medications. The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 performs administrative and initial data entry tasks to include image scanning and other varied activities. The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 will receive inbound phone calls (Phone qu) from patients and physicians for prescriptions clarification and may enter prescription orders into the system. Telephonic support Pharmacists and patients by ensuring adherence to Specialty Rx specific operational processes and programs. Will work within defined call center productivity and quality metrics. Make decisions focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards while having latitude over prioritization/timing. Work under minimal direction in a remote/work at home setting. Follow standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion. Use your skills to make an impact.

Required Qualifications

• Must have an active license/registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Board of Pharmacy in the state of residence (Ohio, Arizona, Texas or Florida)
• Must be certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or through ExCPT
• 1 or more years of experience working in a customer service environment
• Self-starter and able to succeed with minimal remote supervision
• Problem solver with the ability to engage with others
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously and strong data entry skills
• Ability to work the scheduled hours: 8-hour shifts, Monday – Friday sometime between the hours of 8 a.m.-11 p.m. EST
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years of mail order pharmacy experience
• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician OR call center experience in a pharmacy or related call center setting
• Working knowledge of RxNova, CRM and/or ScriptMed
• Critical thinker who can anticipate team needs and take initiative to present ideas, ask the right questions and deliver the highest quality work
• Problem solver who can find viable solutions that meets business needs, absent from all ideal tools and resources
• Experience with grievances and/or member complaints
• Data entry experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English

Additional Information

Work Style: Remote/Work at Home (Must reside in Ohio, Arizona, Texas or Florida)

Work Hours: 8-hour shifts sometime between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $40,000 - $52,300 per year
