Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a store associate focused on quality customer service in the Center Store department. You will ensure fast, friendly service, proper shelf conditions, and accurate backroom inventory while adhering to company policies.

You will work with plan-o-grams, participate in stocking, and use ACIS/CAO systems for ordering and inventory control, all while following food safety and workplace safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Center Store (Grocery) Department.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness and a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain proper merchandise levels and backroom inventory; follow plan-o-grams.
• Ensure proper shelf conditions and correct back stock management.
• Follow policies for ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying merchandise.
• Use company tools (ACIS, CAO) for inventory and ordering.
• Adhere to Food Lion guidelines, safety rules, and dress code.
• Complete training and perform other duties as assigned.
