Job summary

Kingman Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Specialty Biller for our Patient Financial Services team to ensure precise and prompt billing of services.

The role involves reviewing UB04s and CMS 1500s, following payer guidelines, resolving denials, and coordinating with employers, payers, and patients to obtain necessary claim information. Strong attention to detail and reliable data entry are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of medical billing and/or collections experience required.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with all types of customers, to manage multiple priorities and tasks, and to maintain attention to detail.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to use computer hardware and software applications.
• Demonstrates improving proficiency in billing by meeting required departmental standards. These standards will be measured by formal and informal audits.

Responsibilities

• I. Service and Process Improvement: Provides excellent customer service and adheres to the Behavioral Expectations Agreement and the mission, vision, and values of KHI.
• II. Accuracy: Reviews UB04s, CMS 1500s, and/or itemized statements for completeness, efficiency, and accuracy; bills clean claims and handles denials and AR.
• III. Timeliness: Ensures timely follow up with payers and patients to avoid denials and cash flow delays.
• IV. Productivity: Meets productivity standards for billing, rejection resolution, and account follow ups.
