Job summary

The Gill Corporation is seeking a Specialty Materials & Processes Operator to work in the B7 Gillvana, sanding, rework, and aluminum cutting areas in El Monte, CA. The operator reports to the Production Supervisor and will handle materials, process parameters, and rework logs while maintaining clean, organized work areas.

Responsibilities include operating Gillvana/Kerfless and related equipment, recording labor hours in SAP, and ensuring inventory accuracy and debris-free cores.

The company also excels in many other types of reinforced plastics including interior sandwich panels for creating structures such as aircraft galleys and bulkheads, honeycomb core and related products.The Gill Corporation is seeking a Specialty Materials & Processes Operator to work in the B7 Gillvana, sanding, rework, and aluminum cutting and expanding areas.Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Operator’s duties and responsibilities will include the following.Responsibilities:Operates equipment in the area (Gillvana, Kerfless, sanders, etc.) within GWI parameters.Completes workorders and accurately records materials transactions and labor hours in SAP.Documents and tags materials, completes issues, receipts and transfers to B3, B7, B8 inventory within SAP.Completes rework orders on time. Updates the rework log accordingly.Monitors resins, viscosities, and other key process parameters.Ensures cores slices are free of debris, resin plugs and voids, undamaged, and in spec per GWI procedures.Flushes out coating system, cleans coater head, conveyors, resin tank per GWI frequency.Keeps work area clean and organized, ensures materials are properly stored and accurately inventoried.Must be available to work any shift and overtime.Other duties may be assigned.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
