Job summary

Mercy is seeking an LPN to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed clinician, applying the nursing process and coordinating care with other departments. The role requires standing/walking most of the shift and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
• Current LPN license in the hiring state.
• Can be new or experienced LPN.
• Basic Life Support certification or successful completion within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred Certifications: IV Certification within 1 year of hire.
• Physical Requirements: Stand/Walk most of the time; lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under supervision of licensed personnel.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
