Job summary

Mercy is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide patient care under the supervision of state-licensed prescribers or an RN. The role emphasizes professional accountability and coordination with other departments to ensure quality care.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, current LPN licensure, and BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire. Certifications may vary by unit and may include ACLS/PALS/STABLE and related modules.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Must obtain and maintain a current LPN license in the hiring state.
• Can be new or experienced LPN.
• Basic Life Support certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Certifications may include ACLS/ALS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, Six Assessment & Care Modules, or unit-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under supervision.
• Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
