Job summary

Authority undertakes independent consulting to advise on specialty insurance opportunities, policy wording and underwriting strategies from a UK-focused perspective.

We provide guidance on distribution, capacity and claims considerations, drawing on deep sector knowledge across cyber, D&O, E&O and other specialty lines.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant insurance experience.
• Currently operating in or closely involved with the United Kingdom insurance market.
• Up-to-date knowledge of local customers, regulation and market conditions.
• Firsthand experience with insurance product, underwriting, claims, brokerage or distribution decisions.
• A valid LinkedIn profile showing relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise on specialty insurance opportunities and customer needs.
• Assist with coverage design, limits, exclusions and policy wording.
• Provide guidance on underwriting, risk selection and pricing decisions.
• Comment on capacity, reinsurance and carrier appetite.
• Analyze broker, MGA and specialty-market distribution structures.
• Assess claims complexity and identify coverage gaps.

Job description

Authority is developing insurance-focused products, intelligence and advisory offerings for businesses. We are looking for an experienced specialty insurance professional who is currently active in the United Kingdom to advise us as we develop and improve these offerings.

You will help us understand complex risks, customer needs, coverage structures, underwriting considerations and the way specialty insurance products are distributed and purchased.

Independent consulting contract

Remote within the United Kingdom

Approximately 2 to 4 paid consulting hours per month
