Job summary

Goodyear Smiles and Orthodontics is seeking a Specialty Healthcare Coordinator to partner with specialists and drive case acceptance. You will educate patients on treatment options, discuss financing, and help patients start recommended care.

You will also manage scheduling to keep specialists' days full, obtain pre-authorizations, and support a Perfect Patient Experience while building Patients for Life in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Travel might be required between offices.

Responsibilities

• Gain a financial commitment from the patient to start the treatment as diagnosed by the Specialist.
• Proficiency in the PDS system and tools to assist patients in making the best possible decision.
• Prioritize Specialty coordination and consultation; SME for treatment plans that include specialty treatment.
• Proactive management of the Specialists’ schedules to ensure they are full, staggered, balanced, and productive with appropriate paperwork for treatment completed.
• Liaise for the office and specialty teams; facilitate communication, schedule considerations, consultations, treatment plan changes, and patient care with scheduling follow up appointments with specialty, GP and hygiene.
• Understand and utilize all available financial options to give patients choices to start dentistry that fits in their budget.
• Overcome common patient objections to starting treatment prior to the appointment.
• Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations.
• Participate in daily huddles, monthly team meetings and other required meetings.
• Understand Specialty goals and metrics and related reports for tracking patient care.
• Demonstrates stewardship of the PDS Brand while making decisions.
• Be knowledgeable on Mouth Body Connection supporting clinical excellence.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor per company policies.
