Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc. is hiring a Specialty Gas Lab Technician in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on testing and documentation for specialty gas cylinders, with QC procedures aligned to SOPs.

You will use gas chromatography and process gas analyzers to certify gas mixtures and ensure regulatory compliance. The position requires high attention to detail, strong math and communication skills, and familiarity with ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED; a 4-year degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Familiarity with gas chromatography and process gas analyzers.
• Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic algebra.
• 1–3 years of industrial/specialty gas experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use gas chromatography and process gas analyzers to certify gas mixtures.
• Operate manual and automatic instruments and equipment.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, FDA, DOT).
• Comply with Compressed Gas Association guidelines.
• Follow ISO 17025 and ISO 17034 quality management policies.
• Prepare product for shipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
