Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc. is seeking a Specialty Gas Lab Technician in Indianapolis, IN.

The role conducts tests and prepares documentation for specialty gas cylinders, applying quality control procedures in line with SOPs, and performs routine analytical work on medical and specialty gases using gas chromatographs and process analyzers. The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4-year college degree or similar work experience preferred.
• Familiarity with gas chromatography and process gas analyzers.
• 1-3 years of Industrial/Specialty Gas experience preferred.
• Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and math (algebra) skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to handle high-pressure steel and aluminum cylinders with approved equipment.
• Must be able to process detail-oriented tasks with high reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and automatic instruments and equipment.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, FDA, DOT, etc.).
• Comply with Compressed Gas Association guidelines.

• Prepare product for shipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

American Welding & Gas, Inc.has an exciting career opportunity for aSpecialty Gas Lab Technicianin Indianapolis, IN.

The Specialty Gas Lab Technician is responsible for conducting tests and preparing documentation for specialty gas cylinders and applying quality control procedures to samples submitted for approval in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This position will also perform routine analytical work on medical and specialty gases using various types of analytical equipment including gas chromatographs and process analyzers.
