Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Store Team Member to support the Specialty department by receiving and stocking products, maintaining displays, and delivering friendly service to customers and Team Members. You will follow SOPs, support programs, and health and safety regulations while representing the brand.

You will learn product knowledge, engage customers with proactive selling, and handle opening, mid, and closing duties as needed.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and Weights & Measures.

Responsibilities

• Surprises and delights customers with consistent and delicious food.
• Engages in positive and proactive selling.
• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well-stocked.
• Checks product to ensure it meets WFM quality standards.
• Monitors spoilage and supply waste to minimize impact on department expenses.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Accesses information about market conditions and communicates to customers.
• Ensures temperature, sanitation and sweep logs are completed.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store leadership.
