Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented Team Member to support the Specialty department. You will assist with receiving and preparing product, maintain displays, and provide courteous service to customers while upholding quality standards.

In this fast‑paced role, you will learn the Specialty range, engage in proactive selling, and collaborate with team members to ensure clean shelves, accurate pricing, and safe, compliant operations across shifts.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to learn basic product knowledge and department standards.
• Strong customer service and communication skills to assist shoppers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Surprises and delights customers with consistent and delicious food.
• Engages in positive and proactive selling.
• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well-stocked.
• Checks product to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Monitors spoilage and waste to minimize department expenses.
• Assists with sampling program and maintains sample areas.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Accesses market information and communicates to customers.
• Ensures temperature, sanitation and logs are completed; arrives on time and prepared.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
