Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a proactive Team Member to assist the Team Leader in daily operations, merchandising, and staff development in our Florida store. You will help achieve sales targets, manage inventory, and analyze reports to improve profitability while ensuring exceptional customer service.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 18+ months retail Team Member experience; 6+ months supervisory experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of store SOPs, programs, and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising.
• Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports, and labor.
• Assists with annual sales and expense projections and budget preparation.
• Assists with ordering and inventory management.
• Collaborates with Team Leader to address team concerns or issues.
• Functions as point person in absence of Team Leader.
• Sets and maintains high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters a positive environment with teamwork and morale.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and directs staff to delight customers.
• Trains, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members to sustain high performance.
• Communicates and maintains Team Member safety and security standards.
• Delivers timely performance evaluations and feedback.
• Represents the WFM vision and goals to the team.
