Job summary

Whole Foods Market seeks an experienced retail leader to oversee the Specialty team, driving sales, profitability, and store execution. You will lead and develop ATLs and Team Members, manage assortment, pricing, and regulatory compliance, and partner with store leadership to deliver superior customer service.

The role requires 24+ months retail experience with at least 12+ months in a leadership capacity, a focus on food safety, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 24+ months retail experience including 12+ months of team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Holds ATLs, supervisors, and Team Members accountable for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Defines and develops clear expectations to achieve the highest standards of retail execution.
• Effectively delegates to and empowers ATLs and Team Members.
• Accountable for monitoring and achieving sales, margin, expense, and labor targets.
• Maintains proper product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control.
• Ensures products are cross-merchandised in accordance with regional and global guidelines.
• Ensures adherence to category management schedule and planograms.
• Ensures nutritional aspects are displayed correctly.
• Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with leadership.
• Maintains knowledge of regulatory rules and safety standards.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters a positive environment of teamwork and morale.
• Directs Team Members to satisfy customer needs and questions.
• Trains, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members to sustain high performance.
• Communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
