Job summary

Whole Foods Market Akron is seeking a leadership professional to oversee the Specialty team and daily operations, driving profitability, merchandising, labor control, and regulatory compliance. This role entails coaching Associate Team Leaders and Team Members, hiring, and performance management.

You will ensure exceptional customer service, maintain planograms and category standards, and lead initiatives aligned with store programs.

Qualifications

Retail leadership experience with 24+ months and 12+ months in supervision.
Strong merchandising, pricing, and inventory knowledge.
Food safety certification; willing to obtain if not certified within 6 months.
Excellent interpersonal and coaching abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email tools.

Responsibilities

Lead ATLs, supervisors, and Team Members to deliver outstanding customer service.
Define and develop clear performance expectations for retail execution.
Delegate, empower, and monitor staff performance against targets.
Manage sales, margins, expenses, and labor toward goals.
Maintain product assortment and cross-merchandising per guidelines.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Provide timely performance evaluations and leadership development.
Foster a collaborative, high-morale team environment.
