LAFCU’s Glendale Branch is seeking a Specialty Deposit Representative to join our full-time team. This role provides expert support on specialty deposit products and cross-functional assistance to improve services for members. The position is full-time, non-exempt, and located at the Glendale, CA branch.

The role requires at least 2 years in financial services, with 1 year in specialty accounts, and strong communication skills. Knowledge of products like IRAs, HSAs, and ESAs is essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in the financial industry.
• 1 year focused on specialty accounts.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service to all members.
• Maintain positive work environment by fostering cooperation and collaboration and taking ownership of own action and behavior.
• Adhere to security requirements in maintaining confidentiality and verifying member’s identity.
• Process account transactions related to specialty products and services such as Power of Attorney, Guardianship, Decedent, Revocable Trust, Traditional and Roth IRA, Education Savings (ESA) and Health Savings (HAS) accounts.
• Meet directly or indirectly through different methods of communication to grow relationships.
• Establish new membership and open all other secondary accounts and business accounts, as needed.
• Process consumer loan requests and fund loans, as needed.
• Works with internal/external partners to add new and enhance existing specialty deposit products and services, including developing new resources and training.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and competitors through researching ways to improve efficiency and services to members.
