Los Angeles Federal Credit Union in Glendale, CA seeks a Branch Member Service Representative III / Personal Banker. This full-time, non-exempt clerical role focuses on delivering outstanding service, opening new consumer accounts, and facilitating loan applications.

You will assist with online/mobile banking support, cross-sell related services, and ensure compliance with KYC, CIP, and other regulations. The position reports to the Branch Manager at the Glendale location.

Qualifications

• One year to three years of similar or related experience.

• Knowledge of teller procedures and credit union operations; ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned by leads/management.
• May back-up the Contact Center queue as needed.

Salary Range: $24.44 To $27.14 Hourly

Position Summary:

LAFCU's Branch Member Service Representative III provides excellent service to Members and Non-Members visiting branch/service center locations. Provides information and promotes credit union products and services to build relationships. Processes applications and transaction/service requests in the general areas of establishing/ maintaining accounts (incl. Checking, Savings, Money Market, Holiday, Share Certificates, IRAs, etc.), loan request (incl. applications, funding and closing), and auxiliary credit union services. This position is a full- time position and reports to the Branch Manager I/II at the employee's assigned branch location.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• 25% Provides exceptional member service while answering questions and accurately opening new consumer membership (savings) and checking relationships. Opens new tax advantaged /retirement account relationships (IRAs, Roth, HSAs, and ESA). Conducts consumer member onboarding follow-up.
• 25% Receives and processes consumer loan applications (Auto, Visa CC, Personal Loans) and closes approved loans. Refers FastPass, AutoLand, and Business Services and Loans.
• 15% Provides members with support for advanced Mobile App and Online Banking support, including password resets, locked accounts, profile updates, denied access, Bill Pay External Transfer, Mobile Check Deposit, Zelle, and Online Wires.
• 10% Cross sells ancillary loan services (GAP, MBP, and Debt Protection).
• 12% All MSR 1-2 Functions
• 5% Assists members with situations involving fraud, identity theft and account takeover issues.
• 5% Knowledgeable of regulatory guidelines related to account opening and loans (KYC, CIP, Truth in Lending, Reg B / ECOA, SAFE Act )
• 2% Performs other duties as assigned by Leads / Management.
• 1% May also serve as back-up the Contact Center "Queue 2" as needed.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• One year to three years of similar or related experience.
• A high school education or GED.
• Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
• Working knowledge of established teller procedures and policies. Understanding of Credit Union operations. Communicates information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. General office equipment such as calculators, computers, photocopiers, and scanners.
• The minimum and maximum base salary range for this position is $24.44 to $35.26 in California.
• The target starting base hourly rate is between $24.44 to $27.14.
• This compensation and benefits information is based on Los Angeles Federal Credit Union's good faith estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future.
• The starting base salary within the range will depend on a variety of factors that may include relevant prior experience and/or education, or skills and expertise.
