Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a dedicated line cook for our Sparks, NV location. You will prepare menu items per recipes, maintain quality and presentation, and support kitchen safety procedures during service.

Requirements include 2–5 years in a fast-paced kitchen, English fluency, and flexibility for weekends and holidays. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus; candidates should tolerate noisy, smoky environments while keeping stations clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 to 5 years in a fast-paced kitchen, planning and preparing.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for preparing menu items as directed by the recipes provided by the Sous Chef and /or Executive Chef.
• Prepare and produce menu items to standards in a quick and efficient manner.
• Be responsible for quality and proportion size.
• Ensure that the quality and presentation of food products meets company standards.
• Practice proper food handling.
• Practice proper knife handling skills.
• Use and apply proper kitchen safety procedures and basic cooking skills.
• Keep workstations clean during service time.
• Disinfect and sanitize cutting boards and worktables.
• Ensure kitchen and Health Department sanitation requirements are always maintained.
• Perform all duties to company standards and policies.
• Properly wrap, label, date and store all food items in their proper areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
