This role requires an Alabama Registered Nurse license (or NLC multi-state), BLS, and outpatient nursing experience; a BSN or ASN with relevant outpatient practice is preferred. Schedule is part-time, day shift 7:30 am–4:00 pm with rotating days Monday–Friday.

Children's of Alabama has two Infusion Clinics dedicated to “Non- Hematology/Oncology Infusions”. The Infusion Clinic provides intermittent intravenous (IV) medications during scheduled appointments as prescribed by the patient’s physician for treatment of varying disease/conditions. These medications can take as little as two minutes or as long as eight hours to infuse. The clinic is open Monday- Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm and is staffed by RN's and CA's. There are over 30 medications in which staff are currently trained to infuse, with new treatments emerging often. The most frequently infused drugs are IVIG, Remicade and Rituxan.
