Job summary

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is seeking a collaborative Specialty Services Supervisor to support daily operations of our outpatient specialty clinics, lead staff, coordinate clinic activities, and enhance the patient and provider experience.

The role includes staff onboarding, scheduling, coaching, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with physicians and clinic partners to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care across multiple specialty services.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required if providing clinical supervision and direct patient care responsibilities.
  • Current Missouri nursing licensure or other applicable clinical credential required based on position assignment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Previous supervisory, leadership, or clinic management experience preferred.
  • Experience in ambulatory care, physician practices, specialty clinics, outpatient services, or healthcare operations preferred.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a collaborative and service-focused Specialty Services Supervisor to support the daily operations of our specialty clinics while leading staff, coordinating clinic activities, and helping create an exceptional experience for patients, providers, and visiting specialty services partners. This leadership role combines operational oversight, staff supervision, patient care coordination, and direct support of clinical services to ensure efficient clinic operations and outstanding patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

As the Specialty Services Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of specialty clinic services under the direction of departmental leadership. You will coordinate staffing, clinic space utilization, patient flow, and operational processes to ensure efficient and effective delivery of care. You will provide direct supervision and support to clinical and non-clinical staff, including onboarding, training, competency validation, scheduling, coaching, and ongoing development. This role serves as a key resource for staff while promoting teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment. You will collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, specialty clinic partners, and internal departments to support quality patient care and efficient clinic operations. This includes maintaining strong relationships with multiple provider organizations and ensuring compliance with service agreements and organizational expectations. You will monitor clinic workflows, registration processes, scheduling practices, and patient throughput to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance the patient experience. The Specialty Services Supervisor serves as an initial point of contact for provider requests, operational concerns, and patient issues while escalating appropriate matters to the department director. You will assist with investigations related to patient complaints and grievances, support performance improvement initiatives, and help implement process changes that improve quality, safety, and operational effectiveness. This position participates in infection prevention activities, safety initiatives, regulatory compliance efforts, and departmental quality improvement projects. You will uphold organizational standards and promote behaviors that reflect Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare's commitment to excellence. The Specialty Services Supervisor may perform direct patient care activities as needed and will coordinate care activities among specialty clinics and ancillary departments to support seamless patient care delivery.

What You'll Bring

You have experience in healthcare operations, clinic management, nursing leadership, ambulatory care, or a related healthcare setting. You possess strong leadership skills and have experience providing direction, coaching, training, and support to clinical and non-clinical team members. You demonstrate effective communication and relationship-building skills when working with providers, staff, patients, and external healthcare partners. You have a strong understanding of patient scheduling, registration, clinic workflows, and healthcare operations. You can effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional customer service and attention to detail. You are committed to quality improvement, patient safety, staff development, and creating a positive patient experience.
