Job summary

Envoy Development seeks an experienced chemical process engineer with a sales focus to drive new business across the Southeast. You will translate plant challenges into value for customers, guide opportunities from first contact to signed agreements, and collaborate with engineering teams for successful adoption.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of plant experience, strong communication, and a desire to develop a sales career while building relationships with specialty chemical facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related discipline with 5–10 years of hands-on process engineering in specialty chemical manufacturing.
• Strong fundamentals: mass and energy balances, heat transfer, fluid flow, unit operations; ability to troubleshoot plant performance.
• Ability to read P&IDs, analyze historical data, understand instrumentation, controls, and operating limits.
• Clear communication and presentation skills with credibility with plant personnel in business terms.
• Willingness to prospect, build relationships, pursue sales goals, and travel regionally in the Southeast.

Responsibilities

• Develop a territory plan, identify target plants, and build a qualified pipeline through outreach and plant visits.
• Meet with plant managers, process engineers, and operations leaders to understand priorities and challenges.
• Present Envoy’s process intelligence platform and translate capabilities into clear customer value.
• Define applications, quantify benefits, and prepare proposals including scope, pricing, and outcomes.
• Own follow-up, opportunity progression, CRM records, sales forecasts, and closing activities.
• Provide technical service and maintain customer relationships after the sale; identify renewals and expansions.
