Job summary

PDS Health is hiring a Specialty Healthcare Coordinator (SHC) to partner with Specialists and secure patient financial commitments for diagnosed treatments. You will educate patients on options, overcome objections, and keep specialty days productive.

You will gain proficiency with the PDS system, coordinate communications across teams, and strive for a Perfect Patient Experience while creating Patients for Life.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Travel may be required between offices.
• Preferred: coursework in dentistry, insurance, or business.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Models company culture, values, standards and best practices.
• Gain a financial commitment from patients to start diagnosed treatment.
• Proficient in PDS system and tools to assist patients in decisions.
• Prioritize specialty coordination and consultation; SME for treatment plans including specialty care.
• Manage Specialists’ schedules to keep them full, balanced and productive.
• Act as liaison for office and specialty teams; coordinate communications and follow-ups.
• Understand and utilize financial options to fit patient budgets.
• Overcome objections to starting treatment before specialty appointment.
• Obtain insurance pre-authorizations as needed.
• Participate in daily huddles, monthly meetings and required sessions.
• Understand specialty goals and metrics and relevant reports.
• Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand.
• Know Mouth-Body Connection and support clinical excellence.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor; address others professionally.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory bodies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
