Job summary

PDS Health in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Specialty Healthcare Coordinator (SHC) to partner with dental specialists and help secure patient approvals for diagnosed treatments. The SHC educates patients on options, addresses objections, and keeps specialty days productive.

The role supports a Perfect Patient Experience and Patients for Life by guiding patients through financial options, coordinating care, and ensuring smooth interaction with specialists and office staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Travel between offices may be required.
• Preferred: coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business.

Responsibilities

• Gain a financial commitment from the patient to start the treatment as diagnosed by the Specialist.
• Achieve proficiency in PDS system and tools, to assist patients in decision-making.
• Proactively manage Specialists’ schedules to ensure full and productive days.
• Facilitate communication and scheduling between office, specialty teams, and associated care.
• Understand and utilize all available financial options for patient treatment.
• Overcome objections and obtain pre-authorizations as needed.
• Participate in daily huddles and team meetings.
