General Summary & Scope

The Specialty Beauty Advisor - Clinique (SBA - Clinique) is responsible for maximizing sales in the Clinique brand (including color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) by engaging guests to determine their needs, assisting in product selection, and maintaining store standards. They represent the image, products, and culture of Ulta Beauty and Clinique to guests, supporting the Experience Manager through performance, people, and process focus. A passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge communication are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

The SBA - Clinique demonstrates Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values through:

Performance

• Meeting or exceeding Clinique sales and clientele goals.
• Providing exceptional guest service, including greeting, engaging, and personalized recommendations.
• Performing makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demos.
• Booking appointments and supporting in-store events.
• Building customer relationships and maintaining contact lists.
• Informing guests of promotions and events.
• Staying informed on products and trends.
• Maintaining regular attendance.

People

• Supporting an inclusive environment.
• Promoting the guest loyalty program.
• Participating in training and brand events.
• Collaborating with store team members.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development.

Process

• Adhering to policies, procedures, and dress code.
• Driving sales through replenishment and hygiene standards.

Job Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma preferred.
• Cosmetology or demonstrator license as required by law.

Experience

• Cosmetics artistry experience preferred.

• Handling guest concerns proactively.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.

Special Position Requirements
