Beauty Consultants make personalized suggestions and solutions through meaningful interactions and sampling events - making the Beauty experience easy and rewarding for guests. It is their priority to put the guest first.

Role Benefits

• Ability to adapt communication style to build a trusting relationship with guests and influence beauty regimens
• Provide personalized beauty product and regimen recommendations through guest engagement, product training, and sampling events
• Experience in retail fundamentals including inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotions strategies
• Knowledge of beauty products including brands, seasonal trends, cosmetics, and skincare products

Typical Responsibilities

• Use store tools to understand your key metrics, inventory levels, guest traffic, and peak times
• Create a welcoming environment by greeting all guests
• Observe and understand guest needs through body language and verbal cues
• Engage with guests through questions, personal recommendations, and sampling
• Maintain an organized and inviting product display, ensuring products are in stock and signage is correct
• Support product remerchandising and keep the Beauty area inspiring year-round
• Assist guests in finding suitable products for their skincare or makeup routines
• Suggest multiple products within guests' budgets to meet their beauty needs
• Share product features and benefits, and introduce new brands to build loyalty
• Ensure the area is clean and testers are functioning properly
• Support other store duties such as cashiering, order pickup, and Drive-up services
• Follow safety and compliance policies at all times

What We Are Looking For

• Enthusiasm for working in a fun, energetic environment and teamwork
• Passion for providing excellent guest service that makes guests love Target
• Interest in stocking, setting, and selling Target products
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays, with a reliable attendance record

Preferred Skills

• 12+ months of beauty retail experience (preferred but not required)
• Strong interest and knowledge of beauty and skincare products
• Welcoming attitude and effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Basic Requirements

• Handling cash register operations accurately
• Climbing ladders and moving merchandise safely
• Lifting up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments
• Remaining mobile throughout the shift
