Job summary

Summit Point Training Facility is seeking an experienced instructor to deliver specialized courses in areas such as advanced vehicle operations, firearms, counter-IED, surveillance detection, and security disciplines. You will review objectives, deliver instruction, and evaluate student performance to ensure learning outcomes.

The role is non-exempt, part-time and as-needed, with opportunities to support on-site and client-site training across the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in military, law enforcement, fire/rescue, EMS, motorsports/pro driving, security, or related field.
• Experience in instructional or training capacity delivering structured instruction to others.
• Hands-on experience in one or more relevant training disciplines (e.g., vehicle ops, firearms, counter-IED, security operations).
• Ability to safely conduct and instruct practical skills-based training following safety protocols.
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Review training objectives, lesson plans, materials, and methods prior to courses.
• Deliver classroom and/or practical instruction in assigned areas.
• Provide clear, professional instruction to students of varying knowledge levels.
• Evaluate student performance and provide coaching and feedback.
• Maintain a safe, controlled training environment during exercises.
• Identify opportunities to improve course content and training effectiveness.
• Support Lead Instructors and other staff during training sessions.
• Model and enforce safety standards and training procedures.
